Elizabeth began her legal career in 1999, serving as briefing attorney for the Chief Justice of the 7th Court of Appeals in Amarillo, Texas. From there, she moved to Austin, Texas, in 2000, to begin private practice in family law litigation and appeals.
After several years of successful private practice, Elizabeth felt a desire to reach out to individuals with limited resources. This led her to join the Women's Advocacy Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping low-income victims of domestic violence. There, she assisted clients from all over the State of Texas, with a variety of legal issues. Since 2005, Elizabeth has also assisted low-income individuals through the Travis County Law Library, where she helps pro se litigants complete their own family law forms.
Elizabeth focuses her practice on collaborative family law, appeals, probate, wills and estate planning. She is dedicated to seeking a peaceful resolution to even the most bitter and contentious cases, as she has seen too often the battle wounds a traditional litigation model case inflicts.
Elizabeth is a member of the Collaborative Law Group of Austin, the Travis County Bar Association, the Austin Bar Association Family Law Section, and the State Bar of Texas Appellate Section.
